Biopharmaceutical downstream processing (DSP) refers to the recovery and purification of a drug substance (DS) from natural sources, such as animal or bacterial cells, biological materials, such as cells, tissue culture fluid, or plant tissues to derive pure and homogeneous protein product chromatographic purification in downstream processing.
