This may result in more effective and inexpensive assays and therapies. These disciplines help to indicate the merger of biological research with various fields of nanotechnology.  It involves expertise in a variety of fields, from biological, biochemical, molecular biological, molecular engineering, and genetic engineering to agricultural knowledge. Concepts that are enhanced through nanobiology include: nanodevices (such as biological machines), nanoparticles, and nanoscale phenomena that occurs within the discipline of nanotechnology.
